In Across, HTML documents are processed and translated in the Tagged HTML mode. In this mode, the tags are displayed in the form of gray fields in crossDesk in line with the definition of the HTML attributes and elements in the respective Tagged HTML template.
The tags in the source text must also be transferred to the translation.
The Tagged HTML mode facilitates the editing of HTML documents, as the tags can easily be transferred from the source text to the translation by means of shortcut keys: press Ctrl+Shift+1 to insert the first tag of the current source paragraph in the Target Editor, Ctrl+Shift+2 to insert the second tag, etc. Press Ctrl+Shift Ins to paste the current tag in the Target Editor.
The definition of the HTML templates takes place in the respective Tagged HTML sections under Tools > System Settings > Document Settings. The templates must be selected when checking in the HTML documents.
