Relations are attributes that can be added to projects, translation units, and terminology entries as additional information.
In Across, a relation usually stands for a customer, but generally may also refer, e.g. to a department, a country subsidiary, or a product or product group.
As relations can be furnished with a wide range of metainformation, such as contact details etc., we recommend using relations exclusively for customers. Moreover, we recommend defining the relations attribute as a single-value attribute, e.g. with a view to using attribute-specific user groups. For example, this ensures that only one relation can be selected during project setup.
Relations are created and managed in the Relations module, which can be accessed via Administration > Relations in the Across module bar to the left of the screen.
