GUIDs

GUIDs are used in a lot of places in Across. They are used as unique identifiers for various objects. Sometimes GUIDs have to be created.

Basically, a GUID is a huge 128-bit number represented in a hexadecimal notation. This means, only the following characters are allowed: [0-9][a-z][A-Z]
