  • Creating Relations
  • Creating QM Templates

About Project Settings Templates

You can determine all non-document-specific settings of a project in project settings templates.

This is how it works

  1. Opening the System Settings
  2. Creating New Templates
  3. Configuring General Settings
  4. Configuring crossTank Settings
  5. Configuring crossTerm Settings
  6. Finishing the Setup

Opening the System Settings

Go to Tools > System Settings > General > Project Settings Templates.

sysset_allg_pst

Creating New Templates

Click New and enter a name for the template, e.g. Test PST.

sysset_allg_pst_neu

Configuring General Settings

Familiarize yourself with the settings on the General tab. Here you can configure various settings, e.g. that machine translation may be used in a project based on this template.

Subsequently, select the newly created QM template (e.g. Test QM). Moreover, change the subject: Deactivate General and activate the newly created subject, e.g. Test Subject and the newly created relation, e.g. Test Relation.

Configuring crossTank Settings

Familiarize yourself with the settings on the crossTank tab. Here you can configure the storing settings, penalties, and pre-translation settings and set filters for the display of TM entries during the translation.

Open the Storing settings and activate the checkbox Set subject attribute. In this way, you can easily find and delete the translation units of the test project later on. Confirm with OK.

Configuring crossTerm Settings

Familiarize yourself with the settings on the crossTerm tab. Here you can configure the settings for multiple-word combinations and set filters for the display of terms during the translation.

Finishing the Setup

Close the system settings or go to another area in order to finish the setup.
