Elanion configuration in AEM

Setting up the Elanion cloud configuration

  1. Log in to your AEM account with admin rights.
  2. Go to Tools > General and select Configuration browser.

  3. Click Create in order to set up a new configuration:

    1. Under Title, enter a designation (e.g. Elanion cloud configuration) by means of which you can later clearly identify the configuration. This is important especially if you want to work with several Elanion connections.
    2. Activate the checkbox Cloud configurations.
    3. Click Create.
  4. Elanion can now be used as a so-called translation cloud service.

Setting up Elanion as translation cloud service (global)

Tip

The following steps describe the setup of the Elanion configuration in the global field of translation cloud services. Thereafter, the configuration can be used in a project-independent way as needed. Depending on how you set up other translation service providers and their configurations, the steps to be performed may differ.

  1. Log in to your AEM account with admin rights.
  2. Go to Tools > Cloud services and select Translation cloud services.

  3. Under conf, select the option global and click Create.

  4. Select the configuration type Elanion from the drop-down list, enter a name for the configuration under Title and click Create.

  5. Enter the API key that you saved during the setup of the AEM automation in Elanion.

  6. Click Save & Close.
  7. Select conf > global again and click Create.

  8. Select the configuration type Translation Integration from the drop-down list and enter a name for the configuration under Title.

  9. Click Create.
  10. Edit the default configuration on the SITES tab as follows:

    1. From the drop-down list Translation Method, select the item Human Translation.
    2. From the drop-down list Translation Providers, select the item Elanion.
    3. From the drop-down list Translate Page Assets, select the item Do Not Translate.
    4. Deselect all checkboxes.
  11. Go to the ASSETS tab and edit the default configuration as follows:

    1. From the drop-down list Translation Method, select the item Human Translation.
    2. From the drop-down list Translation Providers, select the item Elanion.
    3. From the drop-down list Translate Content Fragment Assets, select the item Do Not Translate.
    4. Deselect all checkboxes.
  12. Click Save & Close.
  13. Elanion has been set up as a translation cloud service and can be used as translation service provider for the respective projects.
