crossTank Maintenance

The crossTank Maintenance Wizard enables the maintenance of the stock of crossTank entries. For this purpose, the wizard features a number of different mass operations that can be executed either for the entire crossTank data stock or for part of it.

Before you modify your crossTank data with the crossTank Maintenance Wizard, we recommend backing up the crossTank database. Moreover, carefully review the possible consequences before applying the changes, e.g. by making the changes on a test system first.

Apart from these mass operations, a preview function is available for ascertaining how many and which crossTank entries are affected by the selected language and filter settings.

By selecting All languages as source and/or target language, you can determine that the mass operation is to be carried out simultaneously for all source and/or target languages.

Additionally, you can use the option Consider crossTank entries with different status as translation duplicates. With this option, crossTank entries with different statuses will also be considered as translation duplicates (e.g. a translation with the Released status and a translation with the Smartly inserted status). While deleting the duplicates, the status of the most recently added translation unit will be preserved.
These actions only need to be executed at the request of the Across support desk and merely serve support and analysis purposes.
