What is an entry?

A terminology entry usually consists of the actual entry with the respective information on entry level (e.g. definitions) and one or several terms (in one or more languages).

Normally, the creation of entries in Across comprises at least two steps: the creation of the actual entry and the subsequent creation of at least one initial term.

When creating the entry, all entry-level information is added, e.g. definitions and images. This is followed by the creation of the first term. If the creation of the first term is aborted, the creation of the entry will also be aborted.

When using indexes, there may be special entries that do not contain any terms, but only information at entry level (index information and possibly other information).
