Store Translations Wizard
Using the Store Translations Wizard, you can transfer translation units to crossTank.
- This wizard can be accessed as follows:
- In crossDesk: When you finish a task and the checkbox Store translations to crossTank is activated.
- In the Projects and Tasks modules: By selecting a project, a document, or a target language and selecting the item Store finished translations to crossTank from the context menu.
- Different dialogs and options are displayed depending on where the Store Translations Wizard is started from.
The Store Translations Wizard in crossDesk
- The wizard offers the following options:
- For offline users of the Across Translator Premium Edition only: Determine whether the translation units are to be stored in your local crossTank database as well. All segments of the task will be stored, including any previously translated ones that have been supplied by the server. If you store translation units locally, they will be available in all modes and tasks, i.e. both in the Offline Client and in the standalone mode.
Please note that the storage and use of such translation units may be restricted or prevented by your customer.
- Select what Across is to do when storing paragraphs.
- The following options are available:
- A match dialog to check and, if necessary, correct the units is displayed for each translation unit to be stored.
- The match dialog will only be displayed if the number of source segments differs from the number of target segments.
- The match dialog is never displayed.
The Store Translations Wizard in the Projects and Tasks Modules
- The wizard offers the following options:
- Select the documents whose translations you would like to store as translation units.
- Select which paragraphs are to be stored, depending on the respective paragraph state. You can select one of the paragraph states contained in the workflow of the project. For example, the translation and correction workflow features the paragraph states Touched, Translated, or Corrected.
