crossView
The crossView is the toolbar to the left of the screen in crossDesk. You can use the various tabs to select different views and functions for your translation.
The following views are available in crossView:
Icon | Description |
The hierarchical document structure view maps the structure of the document in a tree-like manner.
In the linear plain list view, all paragraphs of a document are listed successively on the same level.
The QM view displays QM errors.
The "Attachments/Reference documents" tab contains files provided by the project manager.
The "Sorted by state" view groups the paragraphs according to their various editing states.
In the "Search" tab, you can search for words in the source or target text.
The progress display shows you the status of the task you are currently processing in crossDesk.
In the "Paragraph filter" tab, you can use various filters to determine the type of paragraphs to be displayed in the Context View. |
Paragraph Colors in crossView
The colors of the paragraphs in crossView provide information about the relevant paragraph state.
The default settings for the paragraph colors are as follows:
Paragraph | Color | Description |
Blue | A translated or corrected paragraph
Black | A paragraph that has been touched or is not to be translated
Gray | An untouched paragraph or a paragraph with the editing state "Keep source".
Red | A paragraph not assigned to you (e.g. in case of a partitioned source document) |
You can view and customize the color settings of crossView under Tools > User Settings > crossDesk > crossView.
