Import Statistics
Upon completion of the crossTank import, the last window of the crossTank Import Wizard features the Show summary button with which you can display an overview of the most important details and settings of the crossTank import.
The import report shows how the import data are mapped as well as information on the processing of the translations to be imported.
In connection with the processing of the translation units, the import report shows the following categories:
Category | Description |
Translations | Total number of translations in the import file. |
Created | Number of translations imported or created within the scope of the crossTank import. |
Existing | Number of translations that already existed in crossTank and that are overwritten, depending on the storing settings. Only newer translations can overwrite older ones. For this purpose, the modification date stored in crossTank is used for the crossTank entries and the administrative information stored in the TMX file for translations from the TMX file. |
Ignored (auto-adjusted) | Number of translations not imported because they could be auto-adjusted to existing translations. |
Invalid | Number of translations not imported because they were invalid. Invalid translations are those that do not contain any translatable contents, e.g. because they merely consist of white spaces and punctuation marks. |
Not imported due to insufficient rights | Number of translations not imported because you do not have the needed rights. |
You can print the import report using the icon and save it as HTML document using the
icon. Use the
icon to copy the report to the clipboard.
The import report lists information on the import of translations and not on the import of translation units. In contrast, the numbers displayed during the TMX import show the number of the imported translation units.
A translation always consists of a source-language segment and a target-language segment. In contrast, a translation unit may consist of one source-language segment and target-language segments for several target languages.
