The EN 15038 Standard Workflow
From v7.0 9618, the EN 15038 Standard workflow is replaced by the ISO 17100 Standard workflow.
If you do not use the EN 15038 Standard workflow, you can delete it in the Workflows module from this version on.
The EN 15038 Standard workflow comprises the preparation, the translation, and the subsequent correction of the documents, which may be partitioned. Subsequently, the documents are subject to technical review and final release.
The EN 15038 Standard workflow comprises the following tasks, users, and editing states:
Icon | State | Description |
Original state | Untouched
Intermediate editing state | Touched
Intermediate editing state | Translated
Final state | Keep source
Final state | Checked | |
Original state | Checked
State for redelegation to translator | Touched
Final state | Corrected | |
Original state | Corrected
State for redelegation to translator | Touched
Final state | Reviewed | |

State for redelegation to translator | Touched
Final state | Released |
Redelegation to the Translator
While editing tasks (correction, review, and release), reviewers and correctors can delegate paragraphs that need to be revised by the translator, e.g. due to errors or inaccuracies, back to the translator. To delegate a paragraph back, set it to the editing state Touched ().
If you are assigned a translation task with the EN 15038 Standard workflow, you will have the Checked state () in addition to the normal editing state Translated (
).
The Checked state () is the final editing state of your translation task. Therefore, to be able to finish the task, all paragraphs of the document must be set to this state.
Correcting Translations
Basically, the correction of translations as part of the EN 15038 Standard workflow is no different from the "normal" correction of translations. The only difference is the icon for the editing state Corrected, which you must set each paragraph to. Instead of the icon for normal corrections, the EN 15038 Standard workflow makes use of the
icon.
