QM Criteria for QM Mode v7.0
- The following QM criteria are available:
- .NET resources
- Spacing
- Date/time/numbers
- Formatting
- Capitalization
- Identical segments
- Same source text - different translation text
- Brackets
- Empty target
- Placeables
- Private Use Area characters
- Spelling
- End punctuation
- Segment count
- Terminology
- Display text bounds
- Translation Memory
- Different source text – same translation text
- Windows resources
- Repeated Words
- XML validity
QM Mode v7.0 View
By default, only QM criteria for which errors have been found are shown. To see all criteria used for the check, click and expand the list.
The check for all paragraph-based QM criteria takes place as soon as the target text has been saved (e.g. with CTRL+S or after changing the paragraph state). The following criteria apply to the entire document (= they refer to the entire target content) and must therefore be checked with CHECK ALL:
- .NET resources
- Same source text - different translation text
- Different source text – same translation text
- Windows resources
- XML validity
QM Criteria for QM Mode v6.3
- The following QM criteria are available:
- General QM criteria: General QM criteria that can be used irrespective of the document format
- QM criteria for SGML, XML and XLIFF files: Special QM criteria for the translation of SGML, XML, and XLIFF files
- QM criteria for Windows resources: Special QM criteria for the translation of Windows resources
- QM criteria for .NET resources: Special QM criteria for the translation of .NET resources
- QM Criteria for Display Texts
QM Mode v6.3 View
QM criteria that are checked in real time are displayed separately from QM checks that you need to start manually. For this, the QM criteria are split into the Automatic and Manual categories. If only QM criteria that are checked in real time have been set for a task, the category labels will be hidden.
- The following QM checks need to be started manually, e.g. by clicking Check Now in the context menu of the respective QM criterion:
- Same source – different translation
- Different source – same translation
- Tagged XML well-formedness
- Visual XML identical structure
- XLIFF element validation
All other QM criteria are checked in real time.
