The following shortcut keys make it easier to find your way around in crossDesk:

Paragraph Properties
The following keyboard shortcuts help you to set paragraph properties more easily:

Alt+A | Set paragraph to Reviewed |

Ctrl+Alt+ Enter | Set paragraph to a final paragraph state (e.g. Translated) and go to next paragraph |
Ctrl+Alt+Z | Set paragraph to a final paragraph state (e.g. Translated) and go to next untouched paragraph. Pre-translated paragraphs between the current paragraph and the next untouched paragraph are automatically set to the final paragraph state. |
Ctrl+Alt+P | Start translation on the fly – all paragraphs for which there are 100% matches will be automatically pre-translated from the current paragraph until the next untouched paragraph for which there is no 100% match. |

Editing target text
The following keyboard shortcuts facilitate editing:

Alt+Page Up | Copy the best crossTank hit (100% matches or fuzzy matches) for the entire active paragraph to the target text |
Alt+Shift+Page Down | Copy the active sentence from the source text to the target text |
Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Page Down | Copy the active selection from the source text to the target text |
Alt+Shift+1 | Add selected term to crossTerm |
Alt+Shift+2 | Insert selected text in crossTank |
Ctrl+S | Save the current paragraph and set it to the editing state selected under Tools > User Settings > crossDesk > Target Editor. By default, this is the editing state of the current task (for example, Touched in case of a translation task). |

Ctrl+F | Switch to crossTerm search term input |
Alt+Insert | Insert the best existing crossTank hit for the active sentence in the target text. If you select a crossTank hit, or part of a crossTank hit, the selected hit or the selected part of the crossTank hit will be transferred to the target text. |
Shift+Alt+Up Arrow | Expand source text segment from cursor position by one sentence |
Shift+Alt+Down Arrow | Shrink source text segment from cursor position by one sentence |

Alt+X | Convert the given Unicode value of a character (e.g. a symbol or a special character) to the corresponding character. |
Ctrl+Shift+number | Copy an inline object (= gray and green field as well as tags) from the source text to the target text: Ctrl+Shift+1 inserts the first inline object, Ctrl+Shift+2 the second, etc. |
Ctrl+Shift+Ins | Copy current inline object from the source text to the target text: the first use of the keyboard shortcut will insert the first inline object of the active paragraph in the target text, the second use - the second inline object and so on. |
Ctrl+Alt+number | Copy a number with blue overline from the source text to the target text: Ctrl+Alt+1 inserts the first number, Ctrl+Alt+2 the second, and so on. |
Ctrl+Alt+0 | Copy the current number with blue overline from the source text to the target text: The first use of the shortcut will insert the first number of the current paragraph, the second use will insert the second number, and so on. |
Shift+F3 | Change uppercase/lowercase spelling of the selected text area. Repeatedly pressing the shortcut key successively changes the spelling in the following three ways:

Ctrl+H | Hide the current paragraph in a document preparation task (Hide). |
Ctrl+L | Locks the current paragraph in a document preparation task (Lock). |
Windows Keyboard Shortcut
Many keyboard shortcuts available in Microsoft applications such as MS Word can also be used in crossDesk, in particular in the Target Editor.

Ctrl+number+L | Insert term from the list of retrieved capitalized terms in the translation: Ctrl+1+L inserts the first capitalized term, Ctrl+2+L the second, and so on. Example: The term "introduction" is to be transferred to the translation. Using the shortcut key Ctrl+1, it is inserted in the translation as "introduction", without any changes. With Ctrl+1+L, however, it is capitalized and inserted as "Introduction". |

Software Localization: Customizing Dialog Elements and Buttons
The following keyboard shortcuts facilitate editing the size and position of dialog elements and buttons:
