Press Report
With the Topaz update, version 7 of the Across Language Server is entering its next round, in which Across Systems GmbH has implemented numerous suggestions made by its customers in order to further optimize the user experience of the translation management system. The newly added features increase the productivity of translation projects while also improving the quality of their results.
“With v7, we are responding to the many customer requests and suggestions that we solicited in advance of the development of the update,” says Sergey Dubrovskiy, Head of Development at Across Systems, adding: “In this way we brought about a new version that significantly improves work with our Across Language Server and increases the quality of the results even further.”
A key new feature of Across Language Server v7 is the integrated quality management module. In addition to predefined general quality management criteria, users can define their own criteria using regular expressions, referred to as regex checks. This allows custom quality control to be mapped and accelerated directly in Across.
Within the project management in Across Language Server v7, documents to be translated can now be partitioned into several text sections precisely as required. The new version allows up to 100 partitions, with the partitions being defined to contain a certain number of words or paragraphs or with a new partition starting after a specifically defined paragraph, for example.
The new version also simplifies terminology work for Across users. When creating a new instance in crossTerm, you can now simply copy the structure of an existing instance as a template. Important basic settings and templates for entries or terms are retained, along with the tooltip settings, saving users time when they are creating a new instance.
