Across Systems Invites Translators for Intensive Exchange of Information in London. Event to take place on the eve of the CIOL Members' Day
Under the title "Teatime with the Across Translator Edition", Across Systems GmbH will hold its first event in the UK. The event for freelance translators will take place on March 9, 2018 in the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London. Attendees will receive comprehensive information on the possibilities and benefits of CAT (computer-aided translation) tools. Furthermore, Across trainer Julia Likutschewa will show how translators can reduce their workload with the help of the free Across Translator Edition. A special highlight: the keynote of translator Henk Epskamp, also known as actor Dr. Harry. The event will take place on the eve of the CIOL Members' Day at the same location. Thus, CIOL members can easily combine the attendance at the institute event with the free participation in the Across event. The CAT software of Across Systems is one of the leading solutions of the translation industry in German-speaking countries. It comprises translation memory and terminology management utilities, transparent project management, and quality assurance functionality. Across offers freelance translators a free Translator Edition that enables them to connect seamlessly to their customers' work environment. With the event in London, Across Systems addresses all translators who would like to get to know the Across Translator Edition. It does not matter whether they already use a CAT tool. The agenda has something to offer for everybody: For example, Henk Epskamp, alias Dr. Harry, will present tips and tricks for translators in addition to his keynote. Across trainer Julia Likutschewa will provide information on how CAT solutions in general can be used. Based on the Across Translator Edition, she will demonstrate how such tools can help translators to speed up their translation processes and deliver consistent texts to their customers. Users who are already using the software can polish up their skills. Additionally, crossMarket will be introduced. This online network assists translators in establishing business relationships and applying for projects. Registration on crossMarket is free of charge.
The breaks between the presentations will provide ample opportunity for networking or for discussing individual questions with the members of the Across team.
At the end of the event, the attendees will be given a certificate of attendance.More News
