Cross-references with entry IDs

Especially in the case of a cross-reference that points to a homograph – i.e. to a term that is spelled in the same way as another term in crossTerm, but that has a different meaning – it is important for the cross-reference to point to the correct term. For this, the ID of the respective entry can be added to an existing cross-reference via the context menu. To do this, right-click the cross-reference and select the needed command.

Subsequently, the desired entry can be selected.

If necessary, you can remove the binding of a cross-reference to an entry afterwards. To do this, right-click the cross-reference and select the Remove entry binding command.
