Displaying Definitions in Tooltips
Definitions are displayed in tooltips if the Definition data category was added to the data categories to be shown in tooltips. In addition, you can configure the languages in which the definitions are to be displayed.
To configure the display of definitions, click the icon, which is shown if the data category Definition is selected in the Entry section of the tooltip administration:
Subsequently, a dialog allows you to define the languages in which the definitions are to be displayed:
You can have definitions in the following languages displayed in the tooltips (by default, the definitions in source, target and term language are displayed):
in the source language | Display of the definitions in the source language of the task opened in crossDesk. Example: For a translation from German to English, the tooltip always shows the German definitions – even if, for example, the tooltip for an English term is displayed. |
in the target language | Display of the definitions in the target language of the task opened in crossDesk. Example: For a translation from German to English, the tooltip always shows the English definitions – even if, for example, the tooltip for a German term is displayed. |
in the term language | Display of the definitions depending on the selected term. Example: The tooltip for a German term shows the German definition, but the tooltip for an English term shows the English definition. |
in one or several freely definable languages | Example: If German is selected, definitions available in German will always be displayed, even if, for example, a task in the language combination English-Italian is opened in crossDesk. |
