crossWeb for Offline Users

Apart from online users, offline users can also use crossWeb for processing tasks assigned to them. The processing is basically similar to that by online users.

To be able to process the tasks with crossWeb, the crossWAN packages must not, however, have already been downloaded by the offline users from the Across Server or must not have already been exported as a CWU file by the project manager.

As soon as tasks are downloaded from the Across Server or exported as CWU file, they can no longer be processed in crossWeb.

Crowd Tasks

Crowd tasks are the tasks which are assigned to a user crowd. These are special groups freely composed of desired Across users by a project manager.

Crowd tasks can also be assigned to offline translators. However, they can only accept crowd tasks via crossWeb.
