crossWAN Project Management

The crossWAN load and crossWAN classic modes offer Across users who do not have a permanent Internet connection or no Internet connection at all the possibility to exchange data required for their tasks in the form of data packages.

crossWAN load and crossWAN classic are functionally combined in Across and can therefore be used alternately: Depending on the available infrastructure and Internet connection, tasks can either be downloaded from the Across Server (crossWAN load) and imported another time in the form of CWU (Client Working Unit) files (crossWAN classic).

While as a matter of principle, online users can belong to all user groups, offline users cannot exercise any project management functions (project management and document preparation tasks) and cannot perform term extraction. However, they can perform all other task types (e.g. term and document translation, correction and review tasks).
