crossTerm API v2

General

The crossTerm API v2 provides read/write access to local crossTerm content, enriched by various search possibilities. In contrast to v1, v2 requires users to log in as a specific user (or guest) and respects the rights of this user.

Technology

The crossTerm API uses the Open Data Protocol (OData). OData is a standardized protocol for creating and consuming data APIs. OData builds on core protocols like HTTP and commonly accepted methodologies like REST. The result is a uniform way to expose full-featured data APIs.

Learn more about OData at OData.org.

How you develop an application which uses the crossTerm API via Odata depends on the framework and programming language used to for creating applications. The OData community consists of a collection of libraries and each of them have their own download and documentation websites. A good overview can be found at OData Libraries.

crossTerm API v2 is based on OData v4.
