Context Menus in crossDesk

crossView

  • In the document structure view as well as in the plain list and ordered-by state view of crossView, you can carry out the following operations via the context menu:
  • Change state of paragraphs and segments
  • Add a bookmark
  • Go to next bookmark
  • Go to the Comments and Changes window
  • Go to next comment
  • Go to next repetition of the active paragraph
  • Reset all changed positions and sizes of dialog elements (available for software localizations)
  • Adapt the size of the dialog elements to the text size (available only when localizing Windows resources)
  • Expand or reduce the corresponding tree level

Context View/Source View

  • Use the context menu in the Context View or Source View to carry out the following operations:
  • Select paragraph states for the active paragraph
  • Add bookmarks and go to the next bookmark
  • Go to the Comments and Changes window
  • Go to next comment
  • Go to next repetition of the active paragraph
  • Join selected paragraphs
  • Split selected paragraph (available for paragraphs that were previously joined)
  • Run QM checks for the current paragraph
  • Select QM criteria to be ignored for the current paragraph
  • Copy the current pair of sentences or current selection to crossTank
  • Copy the highlighted term or pair of terms to crossTerm
  • Start a search with crossSearch
  • Start concordance search
  • Copy the current pair of sentences or the current marker to the clipboard

Target Editor

  • The Target Editor context menu provides the following operations:
  • Select the format styles that are used in the current paragraph
  • Insert character entity (with Tagged ML formats only)
  • Tip

    Those character entities can be inserted in the translation which are part of the selected character set. The entity sets can be selected in a corresponding document settings template via Configure > Advanced.

  • Insert inline tag (with Tagged ML formats)
  • Tip

    Those inline tags which are defined as translatable in the document settings template can be inserted in the translation. A tag pair consisting of a start tag and an end tag respectively will be inserted .

  • Insert special characters to control text direction for right-to-left languages and bidirectional texts
  • Activate right-to-left text direction
  • Insert image or object from file
  • Process object externally
  • Copy to clipboard
  • Cut selected area
  • Insert clipboard contents
  • Search marked word(s) with crossSearch
  • Start concordance search for marked word(s)
  • Incorporate correction suggestions on words that have been detected as incorrect
  • Add words to the user-defined dictionary
  • QM Checks to Be Ignored
