Authors of multilingual documents aim at obtaining a maximum of quality with a reasonable effort. Therefore tools for text retrieval and reuse, for language and style checking in the source text and its translation and for interaction with terminologists and end-users are necessary. The latest development integrates project management facilities, authoring and translation memory, a terminology database and rule based language checking tools. This integrated solution is available for a considerable number of editors used in today's technical documentation like MS Word, Adobe FrameMaker, PTC Arbortext, Just XMetaL, Adobe InDesign etc. The integration of so far distinct technologies provides a high degree of synergy.
