Process Automation
Summary
In language technology, process automation is one of the areas with the greatest potential for increasing efficiency. crossAutomate is an option that is capable of fully exploiting this potential for increased efficiency. It frees project managers from repetitive tasks and ensures standardized handling of repetitive processes.
In addition to the powerful functions in the areas of project management and workflow control, the Across Language Server optionally permits customer-specific automation of a multitude of processes.
The concepts of the Across Language Server, such as central data storage, networked work, and open interfaces offer the best prerequisites for this.

Application examples are, in addition to many others:
- Notification of specified persons when deadlines are not met for particular process steps (for example, when acceptance of a job has not been confirmed)
- Assignment of specified persons to particular jobs (for example, assignment of translations of particular types of texts in particular language directions to particular language service providers)
- Delivery of final translations to defined corresponding systems, deposition in file systems, archiving of the project, etc., after its conclusion, and clearance of a translation job
Frequently, crossAutomate is used together with a Web-based Across Language Portal. In such environments, the portal functions as the front-end for the individual to deliver jobs in a structured way, while crossAutomate serves as the back-end for automated processing within project management.
Automated processes are designed on the basis of defined triggering events and the appropriate corresponding actions. Both events and actions can be related to data and functionalities inside and outside Across.
