Integration of conventional and machine translation 

For a long time, machine translation and human translation used to be considered as two competing approaches. Meanwhile, the quality of machine translations has improved considerably. Today, the different methods can be integrated and complement each other.

The lecture shows how process stages such as the calibration with translation memories, automatic pre-translation, and human translation are connected in a seamless workflow and how this helps to significantly reduce processing time and translation costs.
