crossLAN, crossWAN, crossWeb

Access to the Across Language Server is possible as:

  • crossLAN client in internal networks (local area network)
  • crossWAN client for external clients that access the Across Language Server via the Internet (wide area network)
  • crossWeb client for browser-based use, i.e. using a web browser without installing across on the client side.

LAN-WAN_de_en_500 (25327 Byte) The basic package of the Across Language Server includes 5 clients for use as crossLAN, crossWAN or crossWeb clients; additional clients can be purchased.

Instead of the client application delivered with the Language Server, the Across Personal Edition can also be used to connect to the Across Language Server as crossWAN client.

This enables freelance translators to use a single installation to work independently or with the Language Servers of their customers.

Another way of accessing an Across Language Server is the server-to-server interaction via crossGrid.

At our Training Center, you can find interactive tutorials that demonstrate the retrieval of tasks and the delivery of finished tasks with crossGrid or the Across Personal Edition.

A white paper about networked operations with Across is available here.
