crossFlow

crossFlow is the workflow control utility of Across.

The most frequently used workflows are predefined and can easily be selected with a mouse click when creating a project. For example, there is a workflow for translation with subsequent correction/release and a workflow according to the European standard
EN 15038.

The update workflow enables the selective update of translations in the event of changes in the source text.

The partitioning workflow serves the distribution of large tasks to several parallel parties and the consolidation of the individual results to a consistent whole at the end of the project.

In the relay workflow, two target languages are processed successively, e.g. from German to English and, as this translation progresses, from English to Chinese.

If you need workflows whose level of complexity exceeds that of the enclosed standard workflows, you can define and store user-specific workflows with crossFlow. In this way you can, for example, control the separate technical and linguistic correction by parallel parties.

Standard workflows are basic features of Across that are included in the product scope of the Across Language Server. crossFlow is an option and must be licensed separately.

A white paper about project management and workflow control with Across is available here.
