crossConnect for crossAuthor

crossConnect for crossAuthor (formerly "crossConnect for source text editors") enables the use of plugins for translation-oriented authoring.

Even when composing the source text, the objective is to use wording for which translations already exist in the translation memory and in the terminology system. This minimizes the translation workload later on. The savings effect achieved by standardizing the source text is multiplied with the number of languages.

For the relevant source text editors, there are plugins that enable ongoing interaction with crossTank and crossTerm while writing. Matching entries can easily be integrated in the source text with a mouse click or keyboard shortcut.

crossConnect for crossAuthor can be used while composing the text with real-time access to the databases or for a final review after writing the text.

crossConnect for crossAuthor is an option for the Across Language Server and must be licensed separately.

Additionally, the plugin for the respective editor is needed. Under the designation crossAuthor, these plugins are developed and sold by Across technology partners; only crossAuthor for Word is offered directly by Across Systems.
