Language Technology and Business Intelligence
Summary
crossAnalytics uses the methods of Business Intelligence to generate numerous analyses and reports of just about any language resource or translation process, based on data centrally maintained in the Language Server.
This way, optimization potential is identified and the actual effort required becomes clear.
Despite large investment in personnel, technology and external services, the actual costs incurred in the preparation of multilingual content are often not very transparent. crossAnalytics uses the methods of Business Intelligence to provide numerous analyses and reports of just about any language resource or translation process, based on data centrally maintained in the Language Server.
Current status information and various retrospective reports are available as part of the standard package.

Retrospective analyses include, for example, reports on:
- the volumes translated per project/language direction/relationship/...
- the ratio of repetitions achieved with the translation memory and the costs incurred
- missed deadlines and frequency of errors per language/translator/error type/...
Information on status includes, for example, analyses of:
- the workload per employee/language pair/project/...
- the progress of current projects
- the size and growth of the translation memory and terminology database
If needed, the comprehensive set of standard reports can be customized and expanded. All data generated by crossAnalytics are available for further processing in formats such as PDF or .csv files, for example.
In the result, crossAnalytics delivers an extensive data basis, both for controlling and for retrospective assessment, as well as for the identification of future-oriented operative and strategic optimization potential.
