Translation Technology Manufacturer Across Systems Expands Project Business

Across Systems takes over "across Solutions" division from pi-consult

KARLSBAD, April 7, 2008 - As of April 1, 2008, Across Systems GmbH, a provider of translation management systems, takes over the "across Solutions" division of pi-consult GmbH, an IT service provider with a central focus on the optimization of corporate communication. In this way, Across steps up its capabilities in the fields of consulting and system integration. Previously, the manufacturer of the Across Language Server had mainly concentrated on product development, while most consulting and customization services used to be provided by partners.

The Across Language Server is a central software platform for all corporate language resources and translation processes. In this age of globalization, these technologies are becoming ever more important for the industry and organizations operating at an international level, e.g. to efficiently create foreign-language versions of product catalogs and manuals.

For example, the Across Language Server as base technology enables the recycling of existing foreign-language text elements, the standardization of terminology, and the seamless connection of translation service providers. Open interfaces are available for the integration of upstream and downstream systems and customer-specific workflows.

With its special division, pi-consult, headquartered in Karlsruhe, Germany, was one of the first Across system integrators to offer a comprehensive portfolio of products and services. This includes standard solutions based on the open interfaces of the Across Language Server as well as services for its seamless integration in the system world and business processes of customers.

Across Systems takes over all staff members and resources in the "across Solutions" division as well as current customer projects from pi-consult. Henceforth, Across System will supplement the existing partner concept for IT services in connection with the Language Server with its own consulting and integration offers.
