Automated assignment, translation and review processes at Merck with [i]-flow

The itl's solution [i]-flow combined with across helps to automate the whole translation process and to automatically pass the tasks to the respective team members. When a translation is ordered at Merck's web portal, a translation process is launched and the respective workflow is automatically processed. This workflow integrates an automatic creation of PDF preview which can be requested by a translator during the translation. Afterwards, the translated data is forwarded to those who are responsible for layout, language check and final release and finally the data is passed to the document management system.

Seamless Connection of Red Dot to the translation environment by means of crossDot

The web-based application crossDot (RedDot-Plugin) of software & consulting enables translating RedDot contents through direct connection to the across Language Server or, as an alternative, checking these in to across as tasks. lisocon crossDot is the only interface between RedDot and across systems. Editors are familiar with the comfortable web interface of crossDot already from the crossDesk of across. Finished translations are stored in the translation memory crossTank and can be accessed by any translator even outside crossDot.

across2web employed at Brose is a web-based tool developed by pi-consult and enables the authorized departments to
- create translation jobs directly in across
- assign these jobs to the appropriate service provider
- receive the translation documents.
In order to execute the above mentioned tasks, the respective team member doesn't need to have any across-specific knowledge. The functions of across as well as its assets are available to all departments and are easy to use. The portal solution across2web is completely integrated into the intranet of Brose. Among other things, it offers an overview of current translation jobs, of their status, and of billing-related parameters. |
